Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT DOES IT COST TO JOIN AVASLP?

Presently, there is no membership fee or initial membership cost to join.

WHY JOIN AVASLP?

We offer conferences and other educational opportunities for a very small cost or no cost at all. The return is so great; CEUs, collaboration with other VA/DHA SLPs, networking, sharing of ideas, therapy tools, and interesting cases that we encounter each and every day. Through our connections with each other, we have  opportunities to communicate with other VA or DHA speech-language pathologists about our unique population of veterans.

WHEN DO WE HAVE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AND CONFERENCES?

We offer training and educational opportunities every year. Every year, an AVASLP member will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and CEUs either online or thru a face to face conference. Virtual learning opportunities are scheduled in advanced and located via your computer. Face to face conferences are held in major cities every 2 years.
